Burlesque Inspired Boudoir Photos

My first blog post of the first session in the BRAND NEW STUDIO! 🎉 I can hardly believe I’m typing it, this studio space has been such a blessing to me and my business, it’s challenging me in creative ways and really making me stretch those brain muscles! It’s such a 180 from previous studios I’ve photographed in, but I kinda love it!? And who better to help me break it in, than my very own sister who did her 2nd session with me! If you haven’t seen her first session, you can check that one out here! TOTALLY different vibes between this one and her first one, but both so so good.

This time around, Jo talked about doing something with her shoot inspired by her favorite movie, Burlesque. * cue the fangirl screams!!! * I was instantly so excited about the concept, and we had some perfect wardrobe accessories to go with it! She utilized the feather fan, the luxe robe, AND the pearl body chain. It was a blast getting to try out and experiment with every corner of the studio. The windows in this place yall…the FIRE ESCAPE IN THIS PLACE. Ah it’s too much fun! And the photos - Needless to say it was a smashing success. Like I said, this was Jo’s second session with me, so it was fun really getting to mix it up and go with a moodier look than before. No specific reason, she just had too much fun the first time to only do it once 😘

I went back to Malina for a second boudoir shoot and this time it was in her new studio! We did a themed shoot which made it even more fun and personable to me, because it was exactly what I wanted. All of the photos turned out absolutely gorgeous! I would recommend Malina to do your boudoir because she knows exactly how to fit your shoot to who you are, and to have the beautiful queen that you are SHINE through in each shot!

Can you believe that body chain!? Holy smokes. The pearl body chain and the luxe robe are both add-ons available for sessions, and better yet when you do a pre-session payment plan you get to add one on for free! So good. The waist chain you see on the last few is available all the time, not as an add-on! It can add a little bling to your outfit, maybe if you only bring one outfit but still want to add a little variety! That’s where accessories can be so much fun.

Jo also decided to do the most popular collection, Collection II, which means she got her full digital collection, an 8x12 wall portrait, and a gorgeous 8x8 album! Cannot wait to see these gorgeous photos in print because HOLY SMOKESHOW.
